Conference "The Importance of Europass in the Career Counseling Process" in Ohrid, North Macedonia

In accordance with the objectives of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility in the Republic of North Macedonia, the Europass/Euroguidance Center organized a conference on the topic “The Importance of Europass in the Career Counseling Process” to promote career counseling in vocational education and training schools.

The conference was attended by teachers, career counselors, and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science. Participants were introduced to the Europass platform and the essential documents that provide a standardized way of presenting skills and qualifications across Europe, facilitating mobility and employability.

Teachers from various vocational education and training schools actively participated in the conference, engaging in discussions, workshops, and presentations. The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including the integration of Europass into career guidance strategies and the impact of Europass on student employability.

One of the conference’s highlights was the collaboration and knowledge sharing among teachers, enabling them to gain insights into best practices and innovative approaches in career counseling.

After the conference, the participants collectively wrote a set of proposals to the Ministry of Education and Science. These recommendations focus on strengthening and expanding career centers in vocational education and training schools.

The proposals also highlighted the need for increased resources and training opportunities for vocational school employees.

The conference “The significance of the Europass platform in the process of career counseling” is a significant step forward in the progress of career counseling in vocational education and training schools in the Republic of North Macedonia.
